1. About us

These terms apply to purchases from Masatto Limited (“Masatto”, “we”), a company registered in Ireland (CRO no. 609902), with its registered office at 210 The Crescent Building, Park West, Dublin 12. Our showroom is at Unit 8, Fashion City, Ballymount, Dublin 24.

Please read these terms together with our Payment & Delivery, Returns & Cancellations and Privacy Policy pages, which form part of them. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Your order

You can order in our showroom, by phone, by WhatsApp or by email. Your order becomes a binding contract when we confirm it in writing (by email, invoice or pro forma invoice) or take payment, whichever happens first.

We may decline an order, for example if a product is unavailable or if there’s an obvious pricing error. If we decline an order, we’ll refund anything you’ve paid.

3. Prices

All prices are in euro and include VAT. Delivery within Ireland is free. For deliveries outside Ireland, we’ll quote the cost before you order.

If a price is clearly wrong, for example due to a typing error, we’ll contact you before going ahead. You can then order at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

4. Payment

Payment options, finance through Humm, and deposits are explained on our Payment & Delivery page. Finance is provided by Humm, subject to status and approval, for applicants aged 18 or over.

5. Delivery, risk and ownership

Delivery times, access requirements and delivery outside Ireland are explained on our Payment & Delivery page.

The chair becomes your responsibility once it’s delivered. It becomes your property once we’ve received full payment. If you’re paying through Humm, it becomes your property once Humm pays us.

6. Cancelling before delivery

Phone, WhatsApp, email and home orders: you can cancel at any time before delivery and receive a full refund, including any deposit.

Showroom orders: there’s no automatic right to cancel. If you ask us to cancel before delivery, we’ll refund what you’ve paid, except that for chairs we’ve ordered in for you, we may keep your 10% deposit to cover the cost of placing that order.

After delivery, our Returns & Cancellations page applies.

7. Warranty

In Ireland, every chair comes with a 2-year warranty covering parts, labour and call-outs, followed by 3 years of extended cover (years 3 to 5) covering parts and labour, with a €60 call-out fee for on-site visits. Outside Ireland, warranty support is provided as replacement parts and remote guidance. The warranty covers the original purchaser and doesn’t cover accidental damage, misuse, or normal wear to upholstery. Full warranty terms are on our Service & Support page.

Our warranty is in addition to your legal rights if a chair is faulty or not as described. Those rights are set out on our Returns & Cancellations page.

8. Health and safe use

Our massage chairs are designed for relaxation and general wellbeing. They are not medical devices and aren’t intended to diagnose, treat or cure any condition. Please read the warnings in your user manual before first use.

Check with your doctor first

Massage chairs aren’t suitable for everyone. Don’t use the chair unless your doctor has advised that it’s safe if you:

  • have osteoporosis, a vertebral fracture, a sprain, a muscle strain or other acute pain
  • have a heart condition, a pacemaker or any other implanted medical device
  • are being treated for cancer
  • have diabetes or a circulatory condition that affects feeling in your body
  • have a curved or abnormal spine, or a slipped or protruding disc
  • are pregnant or have recently given birth
  • have thrombosis (blood clots), severe varicose veins or skin inflammation
  • can’t sense heat properly, or are sensitive or allergic to heat
  • have a high fever or an acute illness
  • are over 80, or in poor general health

Who shouldn’t use the chair

The chair must not be used by babies or young children, by anyone who can’t operate it safely or look after themselves, or by anyone under the influence of alcohol.

Using the chair safely

  • Stop immediately and speak to a doctor if you feel any pain or discomfort.
  • Don’t use the chair to massage your stomach or knees, and avoid too much massage on your neck.
  • Don’t fall asleep in the chair, and don’t use it when you or the chair are wet.
  • Before reclining or moving the backrest or legrest, check that no people, pets or objects are behind, under or in front of the chair.
  • Don’t let children or pets play on or around the chair, and don’t sit or stand on the backrest, armrests or legrest.
  • Stop the massage before getting up from the chair.

Always follow the instructions and warnings in your user manual.

9. Our liability

We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We’re not responsible for loss that wasn’t foreseeable when you placed your order, or for loss caused by using a chair against the manual or the guidance above.

We don’t exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for your statutory rights as a consumer.

Business customers: if you buy for business purposes, we’re not liable for loss of profits, business or revenue. Our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for the chair.

12. Events outside our control

We’re not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, supplier or shipping disruption, or strikes. If this happens, we’ll tell you as soon as possible and agree a new delivery date with you. If the delay is significant, you can cancel for a full refund.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you placed your order applies to that order.
